What Happened to Pigeon Parade?

What happened to Pigeon Parade?  It was reviewed by editor Heather Alexander of Dial Books for Young Readers!  I can’t say enough good things about this fun monthly challenge on Kathy Temean’s blog, Writing and Illustrating.   This was a great opportunity for me to submit a piece in prose, something that I am eager to continue exploring as a writer for children.

Ms. Alexander’s insightful comments for Pigeon Parade were spot-on.  She tackled exactly the issues that were niggling in my mind as I wrote, and re-wrote, the first page.  I am so grateful for her expertise and input.  For more details, please click here:

i am glad you were able to get critiqued. i was suppose to submit something but didn’t get too. quick question do all entries submitted get reviewed or just the top 3?

      Darshana –
I am not certain how the submissions are reviewed and selected. I hope you will have a chance to submit something for the January 20th First Page Prompt! There is a gorgeous mermaid illustration to inspire you!
