Picture Book Celebrations

I’m happy to be participating in PiBoIdMo courtesy of Tara Lazar’s blog. Since this is only Day 2, I am still feeling flush with creativity and hoping to generate viable picture book ideas or drafts. The inspiring PiBoIdMo blog posts each day make me feel confident that I will remain clear eyed and fresh-minded by November 30th! Simultaneously, the blogosphere is also celebrating Picture Book Month to counteract the prevalent mythology that the picture book is a dying art form. You will find plenty of inspiring posts about the picture book from authors and artists all over the Web if you head over to Google and look around. I encourage everyone to read a picture book, give a picture book to a child, and buy a new picture book at least once this month. Enjoy the celebration! Skol!
